ITREB U.K. Heritage Programme 

To mark the 50th anniversary of the end of Idi Amin’s 90 day notice-to-leave period, the Ismaili community globally and in the UK held a number of events and activities. One of these was an online conference, ‘The Ugandan Asian Expulsion at 50 – Reflections on the Emergence of a new Ismaili Diaspora in North America and Europe.’ This featured five leading Ismaili Muslims from around the world who reflected on the progress of the Ugandan Asians community over the last 50 years.  A recording can be found at the link.
